30th November 2011 - European Commission presents its proposal for the forthcoming Framework Programme for Research and Innovation

Today the European Commission presented its proposal for the forthcoming Framework Programme for Research and Innovation. The program called Horizon2020 has a term of 7 years (2014 - 2020) and a planned budget of € 80 billion. It will combine all the promotional activities of research and innovation, which are currently divided on the Research Framework Programme, the Competitiveness and Innovation Framework Programme (CIP) and the European Institute for Innovation and Technology (EIT).

The new program promotes research and applications from a single source - with a uniform set of rules for participation and dissemination. The introduction of standardized two-stage application process makes it very attractive, especially for SMEs.

The conclusion of the legislative process for Horizon2020 is expected around mid 2013, so it is probably from 2014 (possibly even with the first calls for end of 2013) can enter into force and thus a seamless transition from the 7th Research Framework Program of Horizon 2020 would be guaranteed.

11.05.2011 – Funding with perspective

Dresden consulting company celebrates small anniversary

Eurogrant GmbH supports companies in attracting public funding and is celebrating its two year anniversary today. The focus of this consultancy lies at German federal and EU programs for research and development. Public funding for the economic cycle is vital as never. In times of diminishing bank lending and ending economic programs support from the State budget is again important. The development of these sources of public financing requires experience and competence. "But one can not overlook all programs. The key to success lies in specialization. ", Frank Boesenberg, founder and CEO of € Grant GmbH, is convinced.

Since May 2009, Boesenberg mountain out successfully its spin-off from the Technical University of Dresden. There he gained previously for four years extensive experience in attracting European funding and the implementation of international projects. Meanwhile, the company has three employees and manages several German and European projects. Eurogrant GmbH has specialized in collaborative projects and technology support of the Federal Government and the EU. Thus, the Dresden based Consultants are already responding to the impending revolution in Saxony funding environment.

By the end of 2013 in Eastern Germany the tax benefit for local investments will completely and the EU regional funding will largely be gone. The Saxon companies should now take advantage of programs that are also financially well-equipped from 2014 and beyond. Previous lack of knowledge and application of higher expenses shall not impede the view of significantly higher level of funding to long term. But the 7th Research Framework Programme of the European Union has more resources (€ 54 billion) than the budgets of all eastern German states together this year (€ 51.81 billion, excluding Berlin). These funds are available between the Danube Delta and Shetland islands for each EU company to use.

Eurogrant GmbH supports the Saxon local businesses, to use this funding from Brussels for your success on the ground in Saxony.
